Scheduling:

I will provide you with a schedule for each term of classes that will describe the exact time and date for your lesson slot.  Please be on time for your lessons, as there are other students before and after you.  If you are early, you may wait on the porch until I have finished with the lesson before yours.  I would also ask that you remove your shoes and wash your hands when you come in for the lesson.

Missed Lessons:  I offer a "make-up week" each term to handle make-up times for any missed lessons.  The make-up week is intended for any student who has missed a lesson throughout the course of the term due to illness, etc.  There will be no make-ups during the usual lesson weeks and monthly tuition rates still apply even if you miss a lesson.  (There is no additional charge for the make-up week lesson, it is included in your tuition rate.)​

Practice:

Weekly practice at home is expected.  I will provide you with specific weekly assignments for your home practice.  The minimum at home practice expectation is 20 minutes, 4-6 days per week for beginning students, 30 minutes per day 5-6 days a week for intermediate students, and much more than this is expected for advanced students!  If you don't practice you will not see the improvement you desire in your pursuit of learning an instrument and honing your craft.  I believe in you and I know you can do it!  Practice, practice, practice!

Recitals:

Recitals and performance are an important aspect of learning an instrument.  I will most likely require memorization of your selected piece and we will work toward that goal together in preparation of the recitals.  Regular recitals will be held for the studio each term and I will let you know of times and dates and particulars as those events approach.

Tuition:

$25 non-refundable deposit is due to hold your lesson spot per student and will be applied to your starting music and materials.  Please contact Suzanne for current monthly tuition rates.  Tuition is due on a monthly basis at the first lesson of each month.  I offer a discount for siblings in the same family.
